# All configured authentication methods failed

I am able to use a terminal on a Linux ubuntu to connect to the TV, but when I try to test a package on my LG TV, it fails with the following error message:

`ares-install -d LGTV myapp_0.0.1_all.ipk`  
ares-install ERR! [ssh exec failure]: All configured authentication methods failed

This works. I can connect to the TV and can run commands on it:

`ssh -i LGTV_webos prisoner@192.168.1.250 -p 9922 -T`

Where do we start to troubleshoot this?

Please see [App Testing](https://webostv.developer.lge.com/develop/getting-started/developer-mode-app#connecting-tv-and-pc) and add a new TV connection with exactly the same input as the guide. If the problem persists, please let us know. Thank you.

Thanks. I created a new device (tv2) and tried to use it, but got the same error:

> ares-install ERR! [ssh exec failure]: All configured authentication methods failed

Where do go from here?

Please share with us the following:

- The version of OS you are using.
- A screenshot that we can see what you typed when connecting to the TV.
- A result of the ares-install -d \<your\_device\_name\> -l -v command.
