# Is VVC codec supported for 8K content in webOS TV 23?

In the [webOS TV 22](https://webostv.developer.lge.com/develop/specifications/video-audio-220) docs, VVC is listed as a supported codec for 8K content, but in the [webOS TV 23](https://webostv.developer.lge.com/develop/specifications/video-audio-230) docs, it is not.

Was this intentional or just an omission in the documentation?

Sorry for the late reply. Currently, VVC is not supported on the webOS TV 22 and 23. We have updated the document. Thank you.

Thank you for the reply. There are 2 TV models that list VVC in the video playback formats. Will it still be possible to use VVC with those?
