Hi,
I’m trying to find out whether anyone with a 2023 LG C3 has successfully used Calman AutoCal or another external calibration tool after updating to firmware 43.21.71 / webOS 26.
My TV is:
LG C3 / OLED65C31LA
firmware 43.21.71
webOS 26
Normal network connection and pairing still work, but external calibration access appears to be blocked.
The TV accepts the connection, but when calibration mode is requested, it returns:
401 insufficient permissions
The failing request is the LG calibration API:
externalpq/setExternalPqData
CAL_START
I have reproduced this with more than one external client, including the current webOS 26 compatible bscpylgtv implementation and PGenerator+, so it does not appear to be a simple pairing or client issue.
What I’m specifically looking for is a real-world confirmation from someone running:
LG C3 + firmware 43.21.71 + Calman Home for LG / AutoCal
Does Calman still:
enter calibration mode successfully?
perform DDC adjustments?
upload 1D/3D LUTs?
Or does calibration access fail after the webOS 26 update?
If someone has successfully completed an AutoCal on a C3 after installing 43.21.71, it would be very helpful if you could confirm it here.
Likewise, if AutoCal stopped working after the update, please mention the exact C3 model, firmware version and Calman version.
Thanks.
