Hello webOS TV Developers,

I hope this message finds you well. I am currently working on running a webOS TV application alongside its operating system, and I have encountered a specific challenge. When turning on my LG TV, I am attempting to launch an application in the background. Despite trying various methods, it appears that my application does not automatically start.

If anyone has faced a similar challenge or possesses knowledge in this area, I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Any tips, code snippets, or recommended resources would be incredibly helpful.

Thank you in advance for your time and support. I look forward to hearing from the webOS TV developer community.

Best regards.

Currently, there is no API provided to automatically launch an app when the TV is turned on. Sorry for not being helpful.

It seems like the TV doesn’t support running two applications simultaneously. Even when I change the value of the appinfo.json file to handlerRelaunch: true/false, my application still doesn’t behave differently. It closes when I open another application. Is there something missing or incorrect in my approach? Thank you!

Currently, there is also no API provided to launch two applications simultaneously.

Is there any documentation or articles from the publisher regarding the ability to run two apps simultaneously on webOS TV? I’m trying to solve my problem myself, and I want to make sure I properly understand the current limitations of the system. If there is any source of information that the publisher provides or if there is a detailed tutorial article, I would be very grateful if you could share it so that I can update and provide explanations to customers. Customers request to develop their own applications. Thank you!
