# Virtual keyboard automatically closes after 2 minutes

Leaving the TV idle with the virtual keyboard open, after about 2 minutes it closes. The input remains focused. Is there a way to programmatically disable this behavior? Or at least a way to differentiate between a user-initiated closing and an automatic one?

Currently, no virtual keyboard-related APIs are not provided, and apps cannot handle virtual keyboard events except the [keyboardStateChange event](https://webostv.developer.lge.com/develop/guides/system-ui-visibility#visibility-of-the-virtual-keyboard). Thank you.
