# WebOS 26: App crashes immediately after native splash screen (works correctly on WebOS 25)

Hello LG Forum,

We are experiencing an issue with our applications on WebOS 26 and would appreciate your guidance.

Our apps work correctly on WebOS 25, but on WebOS 26 they crash immediately after the native splash screen is displayed. We updated `webOSTV.js` to the latest available version, but the issue still persists.

We haven’t made any other platform-specific changes, so we’re wondering if there are any new requirements or compatibility changes introduced in WebOS 26 that could cause this behavior.

Unfortunately, we don’t have access to a WebOS 26 device, so we’re unable to investigate the issue directly.

Could you please let us know:

- Are there any changes required to make existing WebOS 25 apps compatible with WebOS 26?
- Are there any new APIs, permissions, manifest settings, or packaging requirements that should be implemented?
- Is updating `webOSTV.js` sufficient for WebOS 26 compatibility, or are additional changes required?
- Is this a known issue, or have other developers reported similar behavior?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
