Hello everyone, I am developing an application on smart tv and hotel tv, I am being requested by the customer that after turning off the application and then turning it back on immediately, the application must be reloaded from the beginning.
Can everyone tell me how to detect the TV on/off status?

This forum is only for webOS TV apps. And for webOS TV, there is currently no API provided to automatically launch an app when the TV is turned on. If your app is for LG Pro:Centric, please contact Pro:Centric Developer Support. Thank you.
As now in 2026, There’s any update to use this functionality, because its necessary in any digital signage app.
I’m also creating an app that I want to auto-launch on TV boot. So now is there any API or any event so we can use that?
There are no updates for this. webOS TV is a consumer TV and is inappropriate for the purpose of displaying. If you need that feature, please consider LG commercial display. There are 2 types: webOS Signage and Pro:Centric. Thank you.
