Hello team,
We checked the Seller Lounge > Application > Test Info > Select Use Billing section and noticed the following billing options:
- webOS Pay
- 3rd Party Billing
- webOS Pay + 3rd Party Billing
We would like to clarify the 3rd Party Billing option.
If we select 3rd Party Billing, are payment providers such as Stripe, PayPal, or Razorpay officially supported for digital subscription applications distributed through the LG Content Store?
Specifically, we would like to know:
- Can we use Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, or any other third-party payment gateway for selling digital subscriptions and in-app digital content?
- Are there any restrictions or approval requirements when using a third-party payment provider?
- If only specific third-party payment providers are supported, could you please provide the list of officially supported providers?
This information will help us choose the appropriate billing solution before we begin implementation.
I appreciate your support.
We recommend using Paymentwall’s solution. You can refer to In-App Purchase. If you want to use other 3rd party billing solutions, please contact the solution support to check compatibility. Thank you.
We are planning to implement the Stripe payment gateway instead of Paymentwall in our application.
Could you please confirm whether using Stripe as the payment gateway will meet LG’s requirements for functional verification and allow us to proceed with the application approval and launch?
If Stripe is acceptable, we will proceed with the implementation. Otherwise, could you please share the relevant documentation or the steps to contact the appropriate solution support team? We can discuss the integration requirements with them and confirm the correct approach.
This forum only supports LG SDK and LG API related issues. For questions about LG app policies, please contact LG Seller Lounge > 1:1 Q&A. And for questions about the Stripe payment gateway, please contact Stripe support. Thank you.
