Built-in apps may have different specifications, but we do not disclose the details. Sorry for not being helpful.
Does this mean a web app can’t disable the screensaver?
Also, what’s the specific full screen video playback api that triggers the suppression of screensaver?
Do you know for sure that they have “different specifications” and what they are? I want to get to the bottom of it, but i do not see a difference between “system application” that shows pictures and does not get affected by screen saver and any other application that does the same thing. Also i do not see why not to disclose those “specifications” to explain to general population of developers why they cannot do the same thing.
There are no specific methods or APIs. Just play your video with full size screen.
This is completely offtopic, but various google’ing led me here and I was hoping you could point me in the right direction @narae0.kim.
I have an LG 27GR95QE-B (Ultragear monitor) that drops optical audio when the monitor goes into power saving mode - as per Noitidart I’ve got energy saving and deep sleep turned off, but from what I gather from your comments above on the OLEDs it doesn’t really matter.
Powering the monitor off and on again brings the optical audio back on, but it’s super annoying to have to do this 8 times a day… is there someone I can report this to? I’ve tried calling LG support but they just asked me to check my cables were plugged in and suggested I would need to bring it in for a service at my own expense. I’m somewhat confident that it’s a firmware issue and just need to get the info to the right person… what would be the best way to do that?

I want to use the screen to display a web dashboard, but the screensaver keeps activating and turning it black. This is unacceptable from LG; they should allow users to decide how they want to use their screens.
I have an oled77c2aua WebOS 8.3.0-29 And playing a video full screen in the web browser does NOT prevent the screen saver from coming on, which makes it suck for watching a camera aimed at our grandson while he is napping. Or playing in his play and pack. I wonder if I does this if I use the Firestick plugged into it with it’s browser?

Hi, I have an [LG] webOS monitor SR50F Model 27SR50F-BA, and am looking to solve the same issue for myself, of being able to turn off the sleep mode. Do you know if my smart monitor is included in the devices that cannot have sleep mode turned off?
