How to Implement Deep Linking and Add Content to LG webOS TV?

Hello WebOS Community,

I am working on an LG webOS application and want to implement deep linking so that my app can open specific content when launched from a link like if I am searching a content on default LG TV search, I need to show the card with my content. When the user clicks on that card it should navigate to that particular video in my application.

My Questions:

  1. How do I properly add content to LG TV so it appears in search results?
  2. What is the correct way to implement deep linking so that the app launches with the given content?
  3. How can I verify that my app is receiving the deep link parameters correctly?
  4. What is the best way to test deep linking on a real LG TV or emulator?

Any guidance or official documentation links would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I have created a LG seller lounge account and provided wrong country name, is there any possibility to change the country name or delete the account?

You can log in to the LG Seller Lounge with the same LG account as the webOS TV Developer website. And as far as we know, there is no way to change the country of LG account. You can delete your LG account and sign up again as follows:

  1. Go to https://lgemembers.com.
  2. Change the country setting in the upper right corner of the login page to the country you seleted when signning up.
  3. Sign in and click [Profile] > [Account info] and enter your password again.
  4. Click [Account Withdrawal].
  5. Go to https://webostv.developer.lge.com/login and sign up again.
