[TV2026] Impossible to use number keys

Hi,

As you already know, the new remote controller (MR26GA) doesn’t have number keys. Magic Remote | webOS TV Developer

So, when I want to use number keys, according to the TV’s guide, I need to press the ‘123…’ key then use a screen number keys. However, the number keys doesn’t appear always. It appears only when I use ‘Live TV’ from LG Channels.

Some apps allows to use number keys to move a specific channels. However, I cannot do that now because there is no way to use number keys.

So, I would like to ask:

  • Is it possible to add number keys in my ‘More Actions’ menu by TV’s configuration?
  • If the app needs to show the number keys in ‘More Actions’, is there any API or configuration needed inside the app?

In terms of consistent UX, the number key supporting is important. So, if possible, please let me know how to support number keys.

Some remote keys work only with webOS TV. The webOS TV app supports only the keycodes listed in the Magic Remote. Please use only those keycodes. If you need an on-screen keyboard, you can use the Virtual Keyboard. Thank you.
